Postgraduate Scholarship

Cardiff University is pleased to offer Taught Masters Excellence Scholarship Scheme for the academic year 2017-2018. Scholarship scheme supports home and EU students who are planning to start an eligible master’s programme in September 2017.

This scholarship package will give high-calibre students the opportunity to study at a world-leading, research-intensive university and help ease the associated financial burdens.

Cardiff University is a public research university located in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom. Founded in 1883 as the University College of South Wales and Monmouthshire, it became one of the founding colleges of the University of Wales in 1893, and in 1997 received (but held in abeyance) its own degree-awarding powers.

All overseas applicants whose first language is not English must have a standard level of English that will enable them to benefit fully from their course of study.

 

Amount of Scholarship:

The Scholarships are each worth a minimum of £3,000 and will be awarded in the form of a tuition fee discount.

Who Can Apply for this Scholarship?

  • Students must be confirmed as a Home or EU Student for fee paying purposes (this information is contained in offer letter).
  • Please note that only complete full-time and part-time postgraduate taught programmes that lead to a master’s degree are included within the Cardiff University Master’s Excellence Scholarships scheme.
  • To be considered for a Scholarship, applicants must complete all sections of the application form with the supporting statement as directed. Incomplete forms will not be considered.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: Applications must have their previous degree.

English Language Requirement: The majority of courses request an IELTS score of 6.5 or 7.0.
